This just in for friends and family voting in the South Carolina Republican Primary: Nikki Haley has voted against funding for GSSM. If I were at home voting in the primary this year, she would have lost my vote with just that. GSSM is one of the greatest investments South Carolina has going for it, and the school is already on a painfully-low budget. I hope GSSM's new Business & Finance track will yield some of South Carolina's most influential future lawmakers and executives. Otherwise, we as a state will soon sacrifice tremendous opportunities for our best and brightest just to save a few bucks. And folks, recessions will come and go on their own, but generational ignorance can only be overcome with a properly-funded education.
