Lan Kwai Fong

It's crazy to think that this is my 3rd separate blog post for one day, but I thought I would break it up to make things easier.  To my beloved audience, I would like to present Lan Kwai Fong!  Let me just say a few words about this area to those who aren't familiar with it.  Lan Kwai Fong is like Hong Kong's Bourbon Street.  Here, check it out for yourselves:

We started at University Station, changed lines at Kowloon Tong, then changed again at Mong Kok.  From there, we rode to Central, which is where we got off as you can see from this picture.

To get to Lan Kwai Fong from Central, you need to climb up a mountain.  Thankfully, in a city like Hong Kong, there's stairs for that.  So this is what our "mountain climbing" looked like:

Oh my Lady Gaga!  Is that a double-decker bus in the background?  Why yes, yes it is...

This one's for Katie, or at least for Meme to share with Katie.  SCAD in Hong Kong.  I didn't think I'd actually find it...especially that fast.

Finally we reached our destination, the party district of Lan Kwai Fong.

Don't worry, folks, it's a mocktail called "Sinless."  It's a mixture of soda water, cranberry juice, lime juice, OJ, pineapple juice, and blended ice.  I wasn't about to go to Hong Kong's Bourbon Street without getting a "drink."

And this was our sweet ride home.  Good thing about red taxis is that they go all over Hong Kong.  This guy was really nice and we got a real bargain for the group fare.
