OK, so I know some of you are curious about the view from my window. Does it really look like all those gorgeous Hong Kong postcards? Well, here's a look at my half a million dollar view:
Not bad, right? Now look at the splendor from which I get to view that scene. Exquisite, I know. To be honest, it kind of reminds me of Mauldin Hall at Clemson...only slightly better.
My lovely summer textbooks: Kung Fu Books I & II, and New Silk Road: Business Chinese I & II:
A look at my luxurious kitchen. Actually this picture was taken from the doorway of my own room. Nobody (and I mean nobody) better touch my Coca-Cola Light.
And below here is a picture of Hong Kong on a "sunny day." I hate to think how hot it would be if the sky wasn't constantly overcast. In all honesty, though, that's an overstatement. Really the weather here is similar to that of South Carolina, except that here there is a nice ocean breeze.
My new ride. Enough said.
So this is the Park 'n' Shop. At first I thought it was just a campus store, but it turns out it's a mini version of a bigger Hong Kong chain. This little shop is like Food Lion back home, but to give you an idea of the kinds of foods offered, I'm about to give you a short photo tour of our morning trip there:
OK, enough fun with the groceries, check out the student union! Yeah, I know it doesn't look like much from the outside. To be honest, it doesn't look like much from the inside either, but it's got everything connected to it. By the way, it's composed of two parts: the Benjamin Franklin Centre and the John Fulton Centre. I get all the English names. I mean, is that really unusual for an ex-British-colony? But what's with naming stuff after Americans?
Here's a quick look at where I'll be having class. Just a photo of the outside, though.
